A panel titled “How can open data help the community?” brought together scientists involved in the Horizon2020 project “Twinning Open Data Operational – TODO” and non-institutional users of open data, who shared their experiences.
In addition to other scientists and data enthusiasts, the doctoral student Bia Mandžuka, mag. ing. traff. also participated in the panel, with the topic “Open data in the field of traffic and transport on the example of personalized multimodal journey planners”. She pointed out that open and accessible data in the field of traffic and transport are a valuable resource for scientific research, as well as concrete digital solutions that will shape our future in urban areas. According to the EU directive, each member state establishes its own national access point, which will be a single access point based on the open data.
In addition, she pointed out the importance of an interdisciplinary approach through Horizon2020 project “Twinning Open Data Operational – TODO” and Interreg project “Coordination mechanisms for multimodal cross-border traveler information network based on OJP for Danube Region – OJP4Danube”.
