| Course description: Airline traffic and financial performance indicators. Airline efficiency, labour productivity, fuel and aircraft efficiency,
TFP model. Load factor vs. spill factor analyses, passenger spill measures. Airline business models: traditional vs. low cost
airlines, elements of airline operations. Fleet planning process, operating, economic, financial/economic, marketing/ commercial
and negotiation factors of fleet selection process. Crew scheduling and its regulation, fuel management and fuel efficiency,
purchase of fuel and calculation for the flight. Air travel demand characteristics, demand variability, mathematical approximation
of air travel demand parameters. Air travel forecasting, demand forecasting methods. Revenue management models, EMSRa and
EMSRb model. Organizational structure of airlines. Development strategies PASTE and SWOT analysis. Route profitability models,
airline network management, network strategy elements, key performance indicators based on route profitability. Commercial
agreements among air carriers, airline alliances. Aviation market analyses, types of competition, Croatian aviation market.
