Course description: Classification of the simulation methods according to the level of details. Application of simulation methods at the micro level. Application of computer simulation in the process of planning new or adapting existing rail infrastructure. Simulation of the rail transport by using real models. Analysis of railway operation at the stations. Methods for testing the stability of railway timetable. Method for determining capacity utilization of the railway line and stations. Comparative analysis of effectiveness of train control system.
