Course description: Introduction to kinematics, kinematics of particle and solid; Inertial Forces, D'Alambert Principle; Work, Power. Particle motion, system and rigid body dynamics, momentum of material system. Kinetic energy, dynamics of translation and rotation. Forces on aircraft during flight. Steady-state condition during horizontal flight. The Equation of Motion of an Aircraft. Required and available thrust (Penaud diagrams). Steady-state flight range and endurance. Steady-state climb. Steady-state descent and glide. Steady-state horizontal and vertical turn. Longitudinal stability. Directional and lateral stability. Controllability and and flight control effect. Take off. Landing. Asymmetric thrust, flight control, mass and propeller effects. Flight and maneuvering envelopes.
