Course description: Basics of radiolocation. Basics of spatial traffic information systems. Referent coordinate system, visualization of spatial
data, visualization of spatial data on a digital road map, map matching. Systems for determining location, satellite navigation
systems, autonomous positional systems (elements of the system, orientation and distance sensors, sensory data fusion using
Kalman-algorithm), detection of presence and vehicle counting, positioning principles in cellular communication systems. Specificity
of positioning in road network, achievable accuracy of positioning. Principles of tracking, routing, and navigation in road
traffic. Driver-system interface.
