Course description: Introduction: Military and civilian high-speed flight requirements, High-velocity flow measurement. Normal shock waves. Oblique shock waves. Expansion waves. Compressible flow through nozzles and diffusers. High-speed aerodynamic tunnels. Subsonic compressible flow around the airfoil. Area rule. Supercritical airfoils.Linearized Supersonic Flow. High speed airfoils and wings. Boundary layer. Aerodynamic heating. Hypersonic flow.
