Course description: Strategic planning in Aviation. Air traffic development projection. Strategic documents at global, regional and national level. Correlation with other transport modes. Correlation with economic and social development sectors at regional and national level. Methodology for forecasting air traffic in the ATM system, airport and airlines operations. Air transport and regional development and cohesion. Conventional versus unconventional aviation. The specifics of the development needs of the aviation fleet. Deregulation and liberalization of the air transport market. Globalization and privatization of air transport services. Ownership and management structures of service providers - ANS service providers, airport and transport operators. Innovative concepts in Airport Operations - A-CDM. Fleet planning. Air Navigation Planning. Performance scheme - planning the efficiency of ATM services.
