| Course description: Historical development of logistics, the relationship between logistics and transportation technology. Basic concepts of transport
logistics. Transportation logistics as a system. Objectives and strategic determinants of transport logistics. Transport logistics
entities. Elements of logistic analysis of transport processes. Substrate as an element of transport logistics. Methods and
models for quantifying transport requirements. Influential factors for the allocation of transport requirements to logistics
providers (models and functions of allocation criteria). Transport devices as an element of transport logistics. Manipulation
devices as an element of transport logistics (work time analysis and operation efficiency analysis). Transport means as an
element of transport logistics (logistical features). Infrastructure facilities as an element of transport logistics. Development
of the process of finding the optimal logistics solution based on concrete data from different industries. Logistics concept
realization activities (solutions). Quantifying the criteria for evaluating a logistics solution. Development of logistic
solution of transport processes for a specific problem in seminar work.
