Course description: Detailed introduction to approach and area control services. Approach control duties and tasks. Departure procedures. Aircraft separation.Approach procedures. Instrument approach. Holding procedures. The use of radar in approach and area control. The use of airborne collision avoidance system (ACAS II). Area control duties and tasks. Coordination. Alerting servise. The use of RST simulator for practical training.
