| Course description: History and development of aviation medicine. Areas of study and specifics of aviation medicine. The notion of the human factor.
Medical problems in aviation. Harmful consumption of alcoholic beverages and drug abuse. Fatigue, tiredness, overtiredness,
working hours and stress. Circadian dysrhythmia, hypoxia, barotraumatism and kinetosis. Exposure to harmful factors: electromagnetic
radiation, noise and polluted environment. Urgent medical interventions. Abnormal conditions and diseases. Telemedicine and
telecare. Basics of space medicine.
