Course description: Basic concepts and subject of study. An overview of postal world and national legislation throughout history. Links to the content of the course Transport law. Sources of international postal legislation. The structure and organization of the Universal Postal Union. Acts of the Universal Postal Union (mandatory and optional). Universal Postal Convention and regulations. World Trade Organization and GATS. The structure of the postal industry in the EU single market. Sources of European postal legislation. Postal directives and other acts. Sources of internal postal legislation. Laws and subordinate legislation. General terms and conditions of postal service providers. The rights and duties of postal service providers and users. Technological instructions for work processes (technical-technological unity). Legal sources in the implementation of inspection and expert supervision.
