Course description: Division of road vehicles and their characteristics. Drive types of road motor vehicles. Fuel characteristics suitable for
propulsion of road vehicles. Comparison of real with theoretical circular thermodynamic processes. The principle of operation
of piston and rotary engines. Occurrences and consequences of normal and abnormal combustion of fuel and air mixtures. Devices
for fuelling the engine and for preparing the fuel mixtures. Engine propulsion and exploitation characteristics. Designs of
the main mechanical parts of the engine. The interrelationships of forces within technically conventionally derived engines.
Supporting mechanical engine systems. Different types of vehicle chassis. Main parts and characteristics of the vehicle transmission.
Types and characteristics of the vehicle chassis suspension. Tires and their effects on vehicle stability. Vehicle management
systems. Vehicle brake systems and brake force regulation.
