Course description: Advanced level of general English language and General English and Aviation English above ICAO Level 5 in accordance with the emphasis on the specific requirements of the aviation experts and requests of the Joint Aviation Authority and Eurocontrol and the prescribed ICAO guidelines for level 5 and 6. Proficiency in professional terminology is deepened and the specifics of the professional language required for a full understanding of technical manuals in English are taught (Topics: Crew Resource Management, Emergency equipment, Aviation related diseases, Human factor, Air accident analyses, Technical incidents etc.). Elements of Business English are included: meetings and discussions, business correspondence (letters, faxes, e-mails, memos, negotiating).
