Course description: Fundamentals of methods and technology of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). The need for air operations with UAVs. Creating system requirements for UAV operations. Types and characteristics of aerial platforms. Types and characteristics of drive, control and guidance for UAVs. Aeronautical and ground subsystems. Types of payloads for the most important types of UAV operations. Airborne reconnaissance and surveillance operations with UAVs, operational characteristics of sensors, command and control systems, communications, mission planning and execution. UAVs in controlled airspace, technological and legal requirements. UAV operator training.
