Course description: Relevant fluid characteristics. Atmosphere. Aerostatics. Fluid kinematics. Geometric and aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils and wings. Potential flow around the airfoil. Circulation theory around airfoils. Circulation theory around the wings. Total aircraft drag. Lifting devices. Control surfaces. Aerodynamics of compressible flow. Propeller aerodynamics. Experimental aerodynamics.
