Course description: Radio theory, radio transceivers. Terrestrial navigation principles, equipment and systems. Satellite navigation principles,
equipment and systems. Principles of inertial and area navigation. Surveillance, identification and alerting devices. FANS,
CNS / ATM, ADS, ADS-B concepts. Air-ground, ground-to-ground communication, voice and radar transmission. Use of MSRCE, basic
principles, description and functions. Analogue and digital transmission concepts. Sound recording principles, multifrequency
methods, telephone engineering and voice switching. Redundancy and emergency operations in case of voice comm device failure.
Future development of ground-to-ground communication systems technologies.
