It was organized by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fer.unizg.hr\/zci\">Centre of Research Excellence for Data Science and Advanced Cooperative Systems<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/across-datascience.zci.hr\/zci\/zop\">Research unit Data Science<\/a>\u00a0and the project\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/across-datascience.zci.hr\/en\/datacross\">Advanced methods and technologies in Data Science and Cooperative Systems (DATACROSS)<\/a>. The workshop aimed to foster the interaction of researchers and exchange new ideas in the diverse area of data science and encourage interaction and networking between data science researchers and practitioners from both industry and government organizations. Assoc. prof. Edouard Ivanjko participated with the poster titled\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/iwdatascience2021\/posters\/multidisciplinary-data-intensive-applications\">&#8220;Agent-based Urban Traffic Control&#8221;\u00a0<\/a>presenting the work done in cooperation with young researchers postdoc Martin Greguri\u0107, Ph.D., Dino \u010cakija, Kre\u0161imir Ku\u0161i\u0107, Mladen Mileti\u0107 and Filip Vrbani\u0107 related to applying reinforcement learning to control traffic flows in urban environments. He also contributed to the poster presentation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/iwdatascience2021\/posters\/multidisciplinary-data-intensive-applications\">&#8220;Motorway Bottleneck Detection Using Speed Transition Matrices&#8221;\u00a0<\/a>given by young researcher Leo Ti\u0161ljari\u0107 to present the results achieved by researchers Leo Ti\u0161ljari\u0107, Filip Vrbani\u0107, Edouard Ivanjko, and Ton\u010di Cari\u0107.
