On 20 May 2016, a workshop was held for students entitled: \u201eIntroduction to Programming AVR microcontroller architecture using the Arduino platform.” The workshop is fully organized and carried out by the students of the Faculty of Traffic Engineering direction of Intelligent Transport Systems under the supervision of Assoc . Prof. Ph. D. Tonci Cari\u0107a .<\/p>\n

Speakers and organizers of the workshop are Leo Ti\u0161ljari\u0107 , Dominik Cvetek and Borna Kapusta , students of the third year of undergraduate study of ITS.<\/p>\n

Conducted objectives of the workshop are<\/p>\n

– Show students the application of acquired competences in the College of algorithms and programming how to programming AVR microcontroller architecture.<\/p>\n

– The acquisition of teaching skills graduate students<\/p>\n

The workshop consisted of a theoretical part and exercises:<\/p>\n

Part 1 : Theoretical background ( Leo Ti\u0161ljari\u0107 )\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0( 30 min )<\/p>\n

Part 2 : Programming microcontrollers ( Dominik Cvetek , Borna Kapusta )\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0( 150 min )<\/p>\n

– Exercise 1. Reading inputs with analog pins and display the Serial Monitor – in<\/p>\n

– Exercise 2. Control point LEDs based on the state of lighting<\/p>\n

– Exercise 3. Development thumbnail \u201esaving \u201etraffic light devices<\/p>\n

With a great atmosphere, students learn the basics of programming microcontrollers. The workshop was conducted evaluation of the workshop, the following are some comments of students:<\/p>\n

\u201eExcellent theme, and lecturers. \u201c<\/p>\n

\u201eI like this kind of work. I think we all could and with other courses you would be applied this way of learning. ”<\/p>\n

\u201eSuper As for lectures, communication with students, I’d like to keep these workshops and in the future\u201c<\/p>\n
