Department of Aeronautics

The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences once again participated in the MUZZA Science Week 2026, where it presented a range of engaging and interactive content under the theme “The Future of Cities.” The event took place at the University of Zagreb Rectorate, offering visitors of all ages an opportunity to explore modern solutions and technologies shaping the future of transport in an accessible and engaging way.

In the field of aeronautics, particular attention was drawn to interactive exhibits that introduced visitors to aviation and emerging forms of urban air mobility. Visitors were able to experience an educational wind tunnel demonstrating the behaviour of urban air vehicles, as well as explore urban unmanned aerial vehicles through interactive displays. A flight simulator was also among the highlights, providing a realistic experience of piloting an aircraft.

In addition to the exhibition, programme also included expert lectures delivered by faculty members. The lecture “Airport – the city of aircraft!” was held by Prof. Biljana Juričić, PhD, while Assoc. Prof. Katarina Mostarac, PhD presented on the topic of robots and drones delivering packages. In addition, a workshop titled “Airplane – a city in the sky” was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Petar Andraši, PhD.

By participating in MUZZA Science Week, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences once again demonstrated its important role in promoting science and bringing complex professional fields closer to the wider public, with a special focus on innovations that will shape the cities and transport systems of the future.
