Mijo Šarčević, Ph.D. held two lectures for undergraduate and graduate students specializing in Information and Communication Traffic. The first lecture, titled Planning, building, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure, was held on May 19, 2025.
On Friday, May 16, 2025, we visited the Technical School for Computer Science and Network Activities in Zagreb, where we gave a presentation to fourth-year students. We presented the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences of the University of Zagreb, with a special focus on the Information and Communication Traffic. The students had the opportunity to learn more about study options, the content of the study program, and future career opportunities that studying at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences offers.
On Croatian Radio Television (HRT), in the show PROMETHEUS, which is about science, new insights, and innovations, a segment was broadcast about our Faculty’s scientific research project on the return of night trains. As part of the project Doctorates for Rail Development (PhDs for EU-Rail), new organisational possibilities for the development of night trains across Europe are being explored.
As part of the implementation of the Croatian Quantum Communication Infrastructure project, a webinar titled: "QCI Network Architecture - QCI Nodes, Quantum Building Blocks, and Optical Fibers" will be held on February 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM on the SRCE e-learning platform.
