Asst. prof. Ivana Šemanjski is an assistant professor and senior research associate at the Department of Intelligent Transport Systems, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb. Her scientific interests are in the field of advanced data analytics, traffic models and simulations, big data, smart and sustainable mobility, transport planning and T-GIS. She graduated and earned her PhD at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (both cum laude), after which has spent four years as a senior researcher and project manager at the Department of Telecommunications and Information Processing and the i-KNOW Consortium, Ghent University, Belgium. Since 2015, she is the first, and only, national and regional expert evaluator at the European Commission for Traffic and Transport (DG MOVE), Information Communication Technologies (DG CONNECT) and Energy Efficiency (DG ENERGY). She participated as a researcher or project manager on 19 international and national scientific projects, has published over 70 scientific papers (of which 6 indexed in the CC and 11 in SCI and SCIEx databases), edited 3 books and held 6 key note and invited talks.
