Overview
Since its establishment, the Department of Intelligent Transportation Systems has achieved notable success through the work of its staff, which is reflected in the following:
- Establishment of the ITS and Logistics branch within the scientific field of Traffic and Transport Technology
- Launch of the first undergraduate and graduate ITS study programs in Europe (aligned with the Bologna Process)
- Publication of the university textbook: Intelligent Transportation Systems I
- Establishment of the ITS Laboratory and the Data Science Laboratory
- Organization of several scientific and professional conferences (CETSI, ITS Forum, etc.)
- Invited lectures abroad
- Founding of the ITS Croatia Association – a member of the European ITS association network
- Numerous research and development projects and scientific publications
