asst. prof. Miroslav Vujić, Ph.D.

Biography

Miroslav Vujić was born in 1981 in Pula, Croatia. He completed his secondary education at the Natural Science and Mathematics Gymnasium in Pula in 1999, after which he enrolled at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, majoring in postal and telecommunication systems. He graduated on December 20, 2004, with a thesis entitled “Evaluation of GSM and UMTS Technology Using Multi-Criteria Analysis” under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Zvonko Kavran, Ph.D.
After completing his undergraduate studies, he enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral program “Technological Systems in Traffic and Transport” at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, and on December 11, 2013, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Dynamic Priority System for Public Urban Transport Vehicles in Automated Traffic Control” under the supervision of Prof. Sadko Mandžuka, Ph.D.
During his studies, he actively participated in student organizations at the Faculty. In the academic year 2003/2004, he received the Rector’s Award of the University of Zagreb for his work entitled “Model for Selecting the Technology of a Third Mobile Operator in the Republic of Croatia Using Multi-Criteria Decision Making”. Since 2004, he has worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Postal and Telecommunication Traffic under Prof. Ivan Bošnjak, Ph.D.
He contributed to the establishment and development of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Laboratory at the Faculty and has been involved in projects addressing traffic technology and intelligent transportation systems. Currently, he is employed at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in the Department of Intelligent Transportation Systems, participating in teaching professional courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
He is proficient in simulation tools such as PTV VISSIM, PTV VISVAP, TSS Aimsun, and LISA+, and fluent in English and Italian.
