Course description:
Analog electronics. Semiconductors. Basic transistor circuits. Operation amplifiers. ESD components. Digital electronics. A/D and D/A conversion, number systems. Logic circuits. Computer systems, hardware and software. Avionics databases, technology, organization, architecture and topology. Standards and protocols. Fibre optics. Radiocommunications, history, parameters, capacity, ranges. Contemporary aircraft communication, navigation and surveillance systems. Radio transmitters and receivers, construction and circuitry, antennas. Electroacoustic transducers (microphones and loudspeakers). 1st, 2nd and 3rd order filters. Display technologies. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).Aircraft software, navigation databases. ATE and BITE aircraft equipment. Large aircraft avionics. Glass Cockpit. Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA).Contemporary avionics in G/A aircraft. IFR procedures presentation within FSTD laboratory, flight and navigation parameters calculation. Area navigation – concept and definition. 4D business trajectories. ICAO PBN concept and navigation specifications. Approaches with vertical guidance (APV). RNP APCH (APV Baro VNAV), RNP AR APCH and LPV (APV SBAS) specifications. B-RNAV and P-RNAV area navigation specification and applications. The prerequisites for this course include courses such as Electronic Circuits and Computers.
