We invite all undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty to complete a survey on the alignment of ECTS credits with the actual workload in the courses of the winter and summer semesters. The survey will be conducted using digital questionnaires in the LimeSurvey system, ensuring complete student anonymity. The survey will be emailed to students and must be completed by June 28, 2024.

-----

The ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) is a system for collecting and transferring credits, based on the learning process and outcomes. It was introduced as part of the Bologna process to facilitate the planning, implementation, recognition, and evaluation of qualifications and learning units, as well as student mobility.

ECTS credits are generally based on the workload required from a student and are assigned to courses according to the amount of work required. One credit corresponds to 25 to 30 hours of work, and 60 credits represent the workload of a student for one academic year. Within a single course, ECTS credits are allocated for lectures, tutorials, lab work, seminars, practicum, and other activities (depending on the course), where each component carries a specific number of hours required for processing, understanding, and learning, and accordingly receives the appropriate number of credits. The sum of these components' credits is the total number of ECTS credits for a course.
