The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences implements lifelong learning programmes with the goal of supplementing individual’s existing knowledge and business experience with new insights from modern science and practice. This is achieved through the exchange of experiences among peers working together on practical problems. The Faculty provides for lifelong learning through various training events, workshops, conferences and summer schools.
The Regulations on lifelong learning (document is in Croatian) prescribe the concept of education programmes, the types of lifelong learning programmes and the procedures for proposing, implementing and evaluating such programmes. The term “educational programmes” encompasses programmes based on the principles of lifelong learning that are not classified as study programmes. Such a programme can be proposed and organised in collaboration with partners outside the Faculty and the University, such as professional associations, institutions, national and local government agencies and others. The drafting of the programme proposals should involve the Faculty Council, the Croatian Chamber of Traffic and Transport Engineers and the Croatian Association of Diploma Engineers and Engineers of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences.
The Faculty provides continuous training in various topics of commercial interest that are linked to the latest advances in the field.
