Aeronautics program

Aeronautics study program encompasses the study and application of the laws, principles, and methods of flight management and directing aircraft through the airspace. The continuous increase in air traffic results in greater demand for highly educated professionals who, in addition to possessing the knowledge and skills of aircraft management and control, also have specialized engineering knowledge and insights applicable to solving problems related to the implementation and application of new technologies with a focus on managing processes in companies directly or indirectly related to air transport.

The undergraduate students of Aeronautics can choose between three modules: civilian pilot, military pilot, and air traffic controller. Upon the completion of the studies, students are awarded the degree and the appropriate certificates and licenses related to the theoretical and practical training during the studies. Graduate students of Aeronautics acquire specific knowledge and skills required for the efficient use of air transport means and the organization and management of processes in the airspace.

The study program contains two types of courses: compulsory courses mandatory for all aeronautics students and electives. Compulsory courses provide students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in aircraft instruments and electrical systems, propulsion systems, navigation, aircraft maintenance, flight theory, radiotelephone communication, air traffic control theory, and more. Elective courses enable students to specialize according to their interests. Elective courses at the graduate level are tailored to modules completed at the undergraduate level (pilot and control module) and represent a logical continuation of studies and extension of knowledge acquired at the undergraduate level. By building upon the undergraduate studies, defining compulsory courses, and providing electives we provide students with a well-balanced set of specific and concrete skills and knowledge in aeronautics.
