A new issue of the professional supplement Applied Research Topics in Transport and Logistics has been published. The bilingual publication is issued alongside the renowned international scientific journal Promet – Traffic & Transportation.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences officially launched the implementation of the project "Professional Practice for the Active Career Development of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences – SPARK FPZ" on 19 June 2026. The project is funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) under the Efficient Human Resources 2021–2027 Programme. With a total value of EUR 270,609.90, the project will run until 19 June 2029. The Project Manager is Associate Professor Ivan Grgurević, PhD.
On 12 and 13 May 2026, a two-day international training course titled “Introduction to Technology Transfer” was held. The training was organized by the Office for Projects and Technology Transfer of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, as part of the STEIDA project — Strengthening Technology Transfer Ecosystem through Innovative and Digital Approaches, implemented under the Erasmus+ programme.
The DirtyFOOT Erasmus+ project officially kicked off on 17th December 2025. Led by Karadeniz Technical University (Türkiye), the project aims to raise awareness of the impact of maritime activities on the water footprint by educating vocational higher-education students through innovative learning approaches.

The activity was successfully carried out at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, within the Department for Information and Communication Traffic, 14 – 16 October 2025.
At the University of Bahrain, an invited lecture on the iRAP – International Road Assessment Programme was held, jointly presented by Assoc. Prof. Marko Ševrović, PhD, Bojan Jovanović, PhD (Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences), and Juraj Leonard Vertlberg, MSc Traff. Eng. The lecture emphasized the importance of international standards in assessing road infrastructure safety and highlighted the potential for collaboration between the University of Zagreb and University of Bahrain.
The Open Days of the Department of Information and Communication Traffic, held on June 11th and 12th, 2025, attracted a large number of visitors and took place in an exceptionally positive and dynamic atmosphere. Over the course of these two days, visitors had the opportunity to explore our laboratories, learn about ongoing projects, and discover opportunities for study and professional development within the Department of Information and Communication Traffic.
