Members of the Department of Information and Communication Traffic, Prof. Dr. Dragan Peraković and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivan Cvitić, participated in the prestigious Swiss-Japanese Quantum Symposium 2024, held from June 5 to 7, 2024, at the University of Tokyo. At this symposium, the CroQCI (Croatian Quantum Communication Infrastructure) project was presented with the topic "Enhancing Quantum Key Distribution Networks: The Critical Role of Advanced Simulation Techniques". The presentation emphasized the importance of using advanced modeling and simulation methods and methodologies as key prerequisites for the optimal implementation of quantum key distribution (QKD) systems and networks.
Furthermore, visits to scientific research laboratories at the University of Tokyo allowed our experts to become acquainted with the latest research and technologies in the field of quantum communications. This event not only enriched our scientific research capacities but also strengthened international cooperation, opening new possibilities for future projects and research.
Participation in the Swiss-Japanese Quantum Symposium 2024 significantly contributed to the recognition of the Department of Information and Communication Traffic as a relevant and active participant in global efforts to advance quantum communications. We look forward to future collaborations and projects that will arise from this important event.
