ANNOUNCES A CALL FOR COMPETITION FOR SELECTION 

1.     One position for a research associate at the Department of Traffic Signaling, for a fixed term of three years, full-time, with a probation period of 3 (three) months.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ITEM 1

• Completed university graduate study in Transport and Traffic, majoring in Road Traffic, or graduate study in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of working with software tools such as AutoCAD, QGIS, PTV Vissim, PTV Visum, RetroGrabber, Mapping Tools.
• Familiarity with equipment for testing the quality of traffic signals: ZRM 6013, ZRM 6014, ZDR 6020, and ZRS 6060 Zehntner Instruments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• B category driving license.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to conduct field research.
• Enrollment in the doctoral study program at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, in the academic year 2024/2025.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ITEM 1

Work on the institute's projects:

• Working on the scientific research project NR 1/2024.
• Conducting field testing.
• Scientific research work.
• Preparation of publications.
• Report preparation.
• Other tasks as assigned by the project manager.

• Completed graduate university studies in Traffic, specializing in Road Traffic, or graduate studies in Civil Engineering,
• Knowledge of working with software tools such as AutoCAD, QGIS, Python, C++, Primavera, Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, GAMS, ETABS, SAFE,
• Knowledge of working with devices for testing the quality of traffic signals ZRM 6013, ZRM 6014, ZDR 6020, and ZRS 6060 Zehntner Instruments,
• Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office software,
• Knowledge of English in speech and writing,
• Willingness to conduct field research,
• Enrollment in the doctoral studies at the Faculty of Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, in the academic year 2024/2025.

•  Working on the project “Recording the condition of state road pavements, data processing, and report preparation”,
•  Conducting field tests,
•  Scientific research work.
• Preparation of publications,
• Preparing reports,
• And other tasks as assigned by the project manager.

Applicants who, based on special regulations, claim the right of priority in employment must invoke that right in their application and submit all evidence required by special regulations for exercising that right. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. The Faculty reserves the right to conduct knowledge and skill testing for applicants who meet the formal conditions. Candidates will be informed of the place and time of the test by email to the address provided in the application. If a candidate does not attend the test, it will be considered that they have withdrawn their application.

The Faculty reserves the right not to make a decision on the selection of candidates and to cancel or suspend the competition without explanation.

The deadline for submitting applications is 8 days from the announcement of the competition. Applications with the required evidence should be submitted by mail to the address: Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Vukelićeva 4, Zagreb, marked "for competition – ZPS" and specifying the competition item being applied for.

By applying for the competition, the candidate gives consent to the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences to collect and process personal data stated in the application and the accompanying documentation, for the purpose of candidate selection, in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.
