Undergraduate study

Enrollment of the first year

The process of applying for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate university studies begins with the application through the National Information System for Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU) at www.postani-student.hr.

Candidates who graduated from a four-year high school before 2010 should also apply through NISpVU but they are not required to take the state matura exams, however, they are awarded extra points if they do. For more information on the application process (procedure, dates, documents, and answers to all your questions) visit the link of the Agency for Science and Higher Education: https://www.studij.hr/sve-o-prijavama

Enrollment conditions are published in the Competition available on the University of Zagreb website.

When the study program selection process is completed, and the students are assigned their enrollment number, they need to report to the Student Administration Office of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences for enrollment (at the times listed below).
Students cannot enroll during the autumn enrollment period under the enrollment number assigned to them for the summer enrollment period.

Candidates who do not enroll in the study programme for which they have secured the right of admission and have been assigned an enrollment number shall be charged opportunity costs for the unfilled study place. The amount of this charge shall range from one to two thirds of the student"s annual tuition contribution, in accordance with the decision of the higher education institution. Candidates who fail to pay these opportunity costs will not be permitted to reapply for a study programme at the same level through the NISpVU system. They will be allowed to submit a new application only after the opportunity costs have been paid.

  1. AERONAUTICS (undergraduate university study, duration 3 years)

Modules Pilot: Civilian pilot, Military pilot
Module Air traffic controller: Civilian Air Traffic Controller, Military Air Traffic Controller

As part of undergraduate study modules of the Aeronautics program, students are trained as pilots and air traffic controllers in accordance with training programs certified by the Croatian and European aviation authorities. This way the students earn their degree and the opportunity to fulfill the requirements for the acquisition of appropriate authorizations and work permits, either as aircraft pilots or as air traffic controllers. Although this element is an essential part of the studies, it is not mandatory for the completion of the studies so the students can opt-out of the testing for authorizations and permits and still complete the studies in the selected module (civilian pilot, air traffic controller). Regardless of the path that the students choose during their studies in Aeronautics, by completing the studies, they gain an internationally recognized level of knowledge, skills, and capabilities required for these highly specialized jobs.
